Absolute shit hole!!! Smells of damp!!! Needs knocked down and re-build!!! Breakfast was a joke flys in bread box! The walls r paper thin the noise is unbelievable. Photos online are nothing like the rooms. Lift the sheets off the beds and have a look for yourself we have lots of photos of the spare bed they tried to get one of us to sleep in.
The staff went really out of their way to help and answer any questions. Shown to room rather than just given a key. Breakfast was really good. Cocktails are served and there is a small restaurant.
The room quality was excellent with very polite morning staff serving a good brekfast.
The staff on reception were poor. I had to wait approx 10minutes to get served. The staff seemed more interested in serving thier freinds rather than customers and then persisting in talking to them. I will admit I checked in at a late time during a busy time but still the staff were poor at this.
More facilities than I would have expected of a B&B plus an excellent breakfast
Decor tired and a number of maintenance items
Attentive,very clean,welcoming and informative.
Some of the mattresses were very lumpy and need replacing.
Good breakfast, decent size of room
Wifi was very unreliable many sites did not work over it, and connection would not work at all at times
Nice seating area on the front to have a drink.
Shower mouldy. Toilet dripped all night. Unable to use tea/coffee facilities as cream off. Woke up at 2 am by someone banging on door, saying the room had been double booked! Decor old and tired. Had flood recently and damp smell remained. In fact had to walk through flood water to get out of hotel, as had rained that night.
great for a group of freinds who want to save a little money but prefer not to stay in a Hostel. Staff were freindly and helpful location is close to Newcastle centre and cost around 5 pound to catch a taxi to the city centre
the Pub down stairs
The breakfast was great, the staff were friendly, free parking.
Location and although when you first arrive it dose not look much but it is a very good hotel with very good food and staff rooms clean and well apointed good nights sleep and a great breakfast the car par is an added bonus. However one sould remember this is not a 5 star hotel so do not expect 5 star
Nice staff and decent breakfast.
Bed arrangement in room not according to booking, double instead of twin. Very noisy up too midnight, however change of room to higher floor improved matters. Questionable fire safety in upper room. Difficult to open door and poor instructions re. Where to go etc..
Close to city centre, friendly courteous staff
When I was leaving! The breakfast was a good selection.
Loud music playing whilst 1am from Hotel bar. Drunken stag & hen parties on the staircase whilst 3am and no hotel staff around to control this.
The bar, the food and staff
It was near the city centre. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The rooms were unclean and needed repairs. The breakfast area, table, dishes and cutlery were unclean and the cooked breakfast was a bit greasy. It was ok to stay for 1 night.
